Through his ongoing work with banks, insurers and other protection providers, Julian is closely involved in market discussions on the evolving European framework for securitisations and significant risk transfer. This includes the proposed amendments to the CRR and the EU Securitisation Regulation as they progress through the legislative (Trilogue) process, as well as the implications of the recently adopted Solvency II reforms for insurer participation in securitisations and unfunded credit protection.
In addition, he has extensive experience in loan and derivatives portfolio transactions, non-performing loan financings and complex restructuring situations in the regulated financial sector. He is recognised for his expertise at the intersection of structured finance, capital markets and financial regulatory law.
