The original objectives of TSI continue to be highly topical. The aim is to

• influence the tax and legal framework,
• convince business and politics of the importance of the subject of ABS for economic development in Germany,
• via the TSI securitisation platform provide the market with an infrastructure for securitisation transactions that make use of German special purpose vehicles (SPVs),
• define quality standards for the transparency of ABS issues, to implement these standards via a certification procedure and, thus, improve liquidity,
• provide the German securitisation industry with a common platform for exchanging views on topics relevant to securitisation.
